Steinhatchee is home to the widest water fall in the State of Florida. This waterfall has a rich history dating back to the early settlers as well the Seminole Indians who were moving through North Florida to the Everglades. If you are lucky to be at the falls during our dry season you will see the wagon tracks as the settlers moved from Taylor County to Dixie County to follow their dreams of a better life for their family.
