Jeff and Beth Morrill and their three Vizsla dogs (Ellie Mae, Jethro and Lucy) escaped the hustle and bustle of Fort Myers Florida to embrace the serenity of Florida’s “Nature Coast.” They discovered Steinhatchee in 2019 and continued to visit every few months until 2022.  January of 2022  they put down roots in Steinhatchee and began building their retirement dream of a private campground.   Steinhatchee is a “small fishing town with a big heart” with the feel of Northwest Ohio where Jeff and Beth raised their two daughters.  The locals welcome guests and newcomers with southern hospitality.   Steinhatchee offers year round activities from our Summer Scallop Season, excellent year round  inshore and off shore fishing, thousands of acres of public hunting land.
